There is real evidence of positive changes occurring for children and their families as a direct result of camp attendance. Caseworker for one of our children brought me some examples of his art therapy this morning where the boy had drawn what his behaviour had looked like and titled it “Sin” saying that the camp morning meetings had enabled him to see what he had been doing. His parents say that the positive things that occurred for this boy and his brother at camp has been a great motivator for them to keep up with their own parenting therapy program. This family is showing great steps in their progression, thank you for being one of the elements that have assisted.
Just to say thank you for the camp.
Our son really enjoyed his time with you. He was very angry with us for signing him up and didn’t want to go but now that he is back he can’t stop talking about the camp. He says he wants to go every camp and when I said you must take friends along next time- he said I have already made friends there.
Once again thank you very much for all your efforts. May God bless this ministry abundantly.
We would be very keen for T to come back for the next camp. We are his caregivers (his mum had a stroke and we are looking after him until she has fully recovered) and cant thank you enough for the wonderful effect the camp had on him.
He was really moved by the gospel message and it has, I believe, continued to bring real comfort and “calm” to him.
Dear Mike and team,
I just wanted to send an email to say thank you for giving C, C and L such a fantastic time at camp. They came back so happy and full of so many different stories and songs. As a team, you must have been on the go all day long with the amount of different activities they sounded like they did… Which I know is hugely exhausting so thank you for all the effort and time you put in.
So a big big thank you. They absolutely loved it and are already talking about next year.
Many thanks
I am certain that all children who have experienced Camp Raglan will hold this as a positive memory for the rest of their lives. We have been able to clearly identify the therapeutic benefit, progress and growth of children we have sent to camp. Kids have returned to their counselling and therapy sessions with more confidence, higher levels of self esteem and full of camp stories. I believe that giving a child the chance to tell a happy story about themselves eases the trauma of the many sad stories they have had to live.
