A simple but full Gospel teaching is given throughout the week and while staff and leaders are drawn from many different churches, the camps are interdenominational – they are not affiliated to any church or group.
Camp Raglan is now registered with O.S.C.A.R. If you are eligible for O.S.C.A.R funding please use the O.S.C.A.R Registration form. Parents need to indicate on the form that they are registered to use Oscar Funding and that they have funding approved for the coming camp.
What do you do at camp?
Archery, BMX track, flying fox, climbing wall, bush and stream walking, beach and rock pools, air rifles, giant hammock, swimming pool, water sports or hot pools (depending on the time of year), confidence course, low ropes, quad bikes and a great time with new and old friends alike.

Child Protection Policies
Who is camp for?
Boys and girls aged between 7 and 14 years old.
Who runs the camp?
These camps are conducted by experienced staff from Children’s Bible Ministries. Every effort is taken in looking after your child’s welfare. Our aim is that your child comes away with lasting memories of what they have experienced, explored and enjoyed at our camp.
We are a registered Oscar Provider. If you are eligible for Oscar funding please tick the appropriate box’s on the camp registration form.
Full payment is required before your child attends the camp. We can only claim through Oscar for a maximum of 50 hours for the camp programme. Upon receiving the full payment we will send you a letter of acceptance. When we receive funding from Oscar (usually 4-6 weeks processing time) we will then refund this amount to you. Please provide your bank account details for this purpose.
Arrival & Departure times
Each camp officially opens between 3 & 5pm on the first day of camp and closes between 9 & 11am on the last day of camp. Please collect your children as soon as possible after this time, and no later than 11am.
Will my child be with their friends?
Your child will be grouped according to age, in the care of a senior leader. If your child wishes to be in the same group as their friends, please specify their friend’s name on registration form. We always do our best to accommodate these requests.
Contacting Your Child
If you wish to contact your child, please feel free to write or email them. Any phone messages will be passed on. We download emails (Please do not send attachments) three times a day. The children love to hear from you so please make an effort to communicate at least once in the week. You can always send a email from your local library.

We do not have the facilities for campers to reply to emails, or to receive phone calls except in emergencies. Please do not send cell phones to camp with your children
What is the cost of camp?
The fees for the next camp can be found in the fees & bus information PDF .
A deposit of $50 is required with registration form, and the balance must be paid seven days prior to the start of camp. We cannot undertake to hold bookings which are not confirmed by payment of balance of fees.
Refund of fees (except registration) will be made if the camper is unable to attend, provided that 7 days notice is given prior to the start of camp.
If you live in Auckland and your child/ren are travelling by bus to and from Hamilton they will need to be booked on the InterCity service number IC6609 leaving Auckland at 12.30pm on the first day of camp and the Intercity return service number IC6210 on the last day of camp.
Note: When making an InterCity booking an unaccompanied minor form must be completed for children aged 7-12 years inclusive and the children must have a copy of the form with them to travel on the bus to camp. This should be handed in at Registration. Our Camp Registrar will then ensure that the forms are shown to the InterCity bus driver in Hamilton for the return journey.
NB: A private Camp charter bus will run between Hamilton and Raglan. If you wish to use this service please have your child/ren at the bus depot by 2.30 pm on the first day of camp. They will be returned to the bus depot at about 9.20 am on the last day of camp.
Health and Safety
Our Health and Safety Policies require you to sign your children out of camp. This includes children being collected at the Hamilton bus depot. Please advise on the Camper/JL registration form who will be picking them up – and let us know by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if this person changes.
Interested in being a leader or helper?
We accept a limited number of young people aged 15 years and over to assist at camp as Junior Leaders.
Voluntary Group Leaders and Kitchen Helpers are also needed during camp.
Help is also always needed at the end of camp with cleaning. If you can help in any way please contact us. Acceptance is at the discretion of the Camp Director.
